In Esports accolades and awards come in many forms. One thing is for certain these accolades and awards are not handed out to just anyone. Having the Mayor of the City you represent give you an Official Proclamation Declaring a day in your Honor is unheard of. That is Exactly What the Honorable Carolyn G. Goodman did, as the Mayor of Las Vegas declaring by Official Proclamation January 6th, 2021, Las Vegas Inferno Day.
“This means everything in the world, from being doubted when we first started, to people giving up on us or myself it means that we worked hard to become who we are today. When I saw this, it meant that we had a fighting chance in esports without all the money in the world we pulled it off. I look at it every day to remind myself what we can do as a team if we put our minds to it.” Said CEO/Owner of The Las Vegas Inferno Jairo Urcuyo.
The Las Vegas Inferno is the first Esports Organization to be recognized as the Official Esports Team of Las Vegas. A feat that is impressive on its own merit. Considering the Heavyweights of Esports and Content Creation Flock to Las Vegas. Competition and Content is not everything though The Las Vegas Inferno are extremely active in their community.
When asked “Moving forward do you think this recognition will encourage other Esports Organizations to become more involved in their own communities?” CEO/Owner of The Las Vegas Inferno Jairo Urcuyo replied “I really hope so, I’ve been preaching about this for months now, even years when we first started with a different brand. I encourage esports teams to help their local communities instead of just chasing championships or fame. Chase the love and care your current community has.”
The City of Las Vegas asks all residents and visitors to join in celebrating Las Vegas inferno day, and to cheer them on as they Represent Las Vegas against the Best Esports Teams in the World.
“From being verified to having the official Recognition from the mayor, we are here to Bring the Heat!” CEO/Owner Jairo Urcuyo
